This was a beautiful post, Noelia. Being a year postpartum, my body looks and feels different than it did pre kids and I am trying to eradicate the negative associations I hold around the word flattering. I am trying to focus on getting dressed and purchasing clothes that make feel good, first and foremost. Lots of great advice and insights here, thank you!
Such a great post, Noelia! This inquiry into what really is flattering, what that means to us, and who are we ultimately trying to flatter (or not) adds more context to our style.
Thank you so much for including me in this! Feel honoured to be quoted alongside such brilliant women - reading their advice has helped me. Love all of it. ♥️
I am so glad! It really helped me too. I honestly think it is a conversation we need to have more often because, at one point or another, almost everyone struggles with their body.
Thank you again for sharing your honest and personal perspective. It meant a lot. ❤️
Thank you, guapa, for asking me to be part of this beautiful post. I'm honored to be surrounded by all these women sharing such amazing wisdom about body and fashion. I loved writing about it!
I loved this so much and I hope you can hear me applauding across the pond. These wise words are needed here on Substack as much as on any social media platform, and beyond.
Danielle! Thank you so much for your lovely words! ❤️
That is exactly how I feel too. It is outrageous how many women I speak to who genuinely believe they do not have style simply because they are not represented enough in the fashion industry.
It really needs to change and I feel like Substack is the place for it!
It’s so tiring and seeing the popularity of people like Kate moss on here gives me pause as a person who lived through the 90s. I think this is a message that needs repeating again and again.
Thank you so much, Liza! I absolutely loved your perspective on such a polarising subject. Your answers were so honest, thoughtful and wise, while also being full of practical advice. 😍
What a great read! The body noise as a woman is exhausting. I took something positive away from everyone and really appreciate the honesty and thoughtfulness around each answer.
A goldmine of excellent wisdom. Comparison is truly the thief of joy!
Oh man! Liza nails that point doesn’t she? Thank you for reading my love! 😍
Thank you for including me alongside such wonderful guests. I enjoyed reflecting on my own answers and experiencing theirs today! xx
Thank you for your honest point of view and personal experience, I really enjoyed reading your answers!
Love this!

Thank you for sharing your experience Emily! Exactly, you have nailed it, focus on comfort first and little by little you’d feel like yourself again.

Oh yes and they make it look like thats the normal if you want to be stylish. It's so boring and outdated.
SOOO BORING
